The brief was to design a new look for the 2013-14 Glasgow Warriors Rabo Direct Pro programme with variations for other tournaments.
The programme now incorporates a Charles Rennie Mackintosh design in keeping with Glasgow’s heritage. Although simple and legible throughout, gritty textures and muddy marks bring the programme to life.
The redesign proved an excellent investment for the rugby club recouping the design fee and more after selling out before the first match of the season had begun against Cardiff Blues.
I have continued to work with Glasgow Warriors on new tournament programmes, such as the Heineken Cup. Although adopting a different look and feel, there is a continuity with the use of gritty, muddy textures across all the programmes.
