Merlin Planterose designs and makes jewellery from a log cabin in the woods in the Scottish Highlands. This is where Merlin finds local materials to aid the process of making her jewellery.
Merlin’s jewellery is inspired by the north of Scotland, the current collection is influenced by the story of Lady Grey held capture on the island of St. Kilda. The designs are exquisite and since launching in 2012 the brand has gained lots of attention from exhibitions and galleries.
I wanted to show the authenticity behind the brand so buyers would engage with the story and products. The log cabin logo captures the story of where each piece of jewellery was inspired and made.
Overall, the brand identity aims to communicate this story and aesthetically mirror the jewellery in elegance, appealing to the brand’s sophisticated audience.
